The eternal beauty in Olympia, is the humanity imbued in the painting
that inexplicable state of being human.
Being human, has a particularly bittersweet taste,
for our time on earth is limited,
and death awaits us all.
This old melody is a prayer offered for the longevity of one's parents.
We pray that they would live for five hundred years
Indeed, this is essentially a prayer for eternity.
